In addition to researching the truck manufacturers we took a look at Trucking Associations across Canada to see how social they were. We looked at the 7 provincial and 1 national association (Canadian Trucking Alliance)websites and were surprised to see the lack of social engagement. Many of the sites do not even have a feed from a Social Media site let alone a link or icon.

It is quite shocking to see the lack of communication going on (or not going on) using the free tools that available to most people in the industry. Is the lack of communication a sign of the industry and those that run it, or has the technology just not reached the trucking industry? I hope it’s the latter but that will need to be seen.
